Malakai is now 5 weeks old, he weighs 11 pounds, and is 23 inches long; time is flying by faster than I expected! He's growing up too fast! He can hold up his head (fairly well), he smiles at us, makes eye contact, and notices new surroundings every day. He's still being breastfed, and now he's taking a bottle with his dad, granny, and paw paw (although I still say he likes to breastfeed more than the bottle)! He's letting me get several hours of sleep at night, some hours even together in a 5 hour stretch if he's swaddled well and has a full tummy. We're enjoying every single moment together and I cherish every second I'm able to spend with him. Motherhood is a joy beyond anything I ever expected!
